4. The Quartet



The most common quartet is the string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello).

The string quartet is a staple ensemble in Western classical music.  From the Twilight soundtrack to Stairway to Heaven to Sinatra, almost everything has been arranged for quartet. With a solid chunk of classical repertoire and such a high profile in our culture, a string quartet will impress and set the tone for any event.
